![]() ![]() Tl dr Curious if anyone else has ditched XT60 and gone with some other type of alternative DC connector. Now that I'm building this quad and buying gear, I'm having a hard time falling in love with the XT60 when I have something I already like. and typically cut the XT60 off and put a 45amp Anderson Powerpole in it's place. Prior to building a quad, I've been buying and building LiPo batteries for radio projects. unlike the XT60 which requires a male and female connector to work. Every connector is connectable to another one. What I like about that connector is that has no sex (like me, yuk yuk), or is unisex / hermaphroditic. In the ham radio universe, a VERY popular DC power connector is called the Anderson Powerpole, which can support upwards of 45 Amps of current. The reason for my inquiry is that I come to quad flying from another hobby that also utilizes high current DC power, ham radio. The always growing list of suppliers around the worldĭisclaimer first, very new to the quadcopter / FPV hobby in general, but enjoying the crap out of my first build so far.
